Hi all,
A lot of folks are helping to document everything that's going on in
Ferguson on the St. Louis LocalWiki: http://localwiki.net/st-louis/
You can see how much has been added just tonight:
http://localwiki.net/st-louis/Ferguson
But there's a lot more needed:
http://localwiki.net/st-louis/Ferguson_Pages_Still_Needed
You can help document everything that's going on by:
- Adding information - links to news articles, etc.
- Boosting the signal - you can get on social media & invite people to
help contribute.
Thanks for your time,
Marina

I contacted an electrician who did work at my workplace a while ago, and
asked about our situation (specifically at sudoroom)
he charges $45 per hour and can provide a proper invoice, however he is
not a "C10" certifiable electrician. But the work he would do would
satisfy a C10 (such as the one he knows) if we were to hire one to "sign
off" on stuff.
Unless someone on one of these lists has a conduit bender and enjoys
running pipe and installing outlets (while following all obscure rules), I
think we should hire Taylor to install outlets in sudoroom (and wherever
else they are needed)
I volunteered to be his helper, working (and managing other volunteers) to
help the job go as quickly as possible, thus saving money and his time.
But I would need approval from whatever group would be paying for his
labor, and the materials that we will need to do the job.
my guess is that the job will cost $400 including materials, but i have
never done a job like this before so it is only a guess. My notes are
here:

thank you

Hi Sudoers,
Wanted to invite you to an event that I'm hosting on Thursday eve:
*Intelligent Assistance and Trusted Conversations*
http://sl-co.com/intelligent-assistance-and-trusted-conversations/
Thursday 14 August, 6:30pm to 8pm
The speaker, Dan Miller, is an analyst with Opus Research (not selling
anything).
In light of all the news about voice, AI, and biometrics being used to
"save you from passwords" or identify you by your walk and movement, or
extend Siri to actually check your calendar AND book a reservation in
the same request... there's a lot of intriguing technology in this
field. If you use a phone, you're part of it.
The talk is free.

SUPER-THANKS to 'Kare Raisu' for bringing the punch down tool and
helping with the first patch panel!
We got the first patch panel completed, and Kare agreed to continue
working on the second one on Wednesday.
The first part took way longer than I expected. Well, it was our first
one ever. We learned lots of little tricks on how to proceed best.
At first it seems like just plug it in and punch it.
There were little unknowns that we didn't know that we now know. :)

Hey everyone at sudo discuss!
My name is Matt and I am looking for a person who is good with 3D printer
mechanics to work on my Ultimaker v1.
There are only a few minor problems with it such as the axis are
misaligned, and I want to add a heated bed (requires a relay and some
soldering and wiring)
this stuff is super easy for someone who knows what they are doing. i do
not haha.
would anyone be willing to fix this problem for me? I can give you many
frankinscents and muur
Hello all,
Good news! I got an email offering 2 almost full boxes of CAT6 cable.
Should I take them?
Kidding! I replied yes and went to get them. I will bring them in tonight.
More deets later, I am in my lunch time w the food in front of me and I am really hungry. :)
Thx!
Hi sudoers.
I added some donation guidelines so people will know what to bring and what
not to bring to sudo room:
https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Donations
Now we can just point people here if they ask about dropping off donations.
I also added a link to this page from the left menu of the sudo wiki.
Of course feel free to edit/append if you don't agree with the list.

Just another note - if Sudoers that are at Omni today could possibly:
- start moving Sudo basmeent things into Sudo any time (copier, etc)
- make a place for those things in Sudo
That'd be great. Thanks!
David
