Last Call for makers for East Bay Mini Maker Faire

by Patrik D'haeseleer

Walking distance from the Omni; very community and family oriented event; much more intimate and less commercial than the giant San Mateo Maker Faire. Counter Culture Labs will be there. Anyone else? Counter culture idea

by Jake

---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2017 02:47:30 +0000 (UTC) From: Eric Reiter <unquant(a)yahoo.com> Hello Counter Culture and Sudo-room people. My current research effort is toward electromagnetic medicine. In past years I automated an enzyme reaction and applied tuned electromagnetic fields, from radio-frequency to ultraviolet in search for a non-thermal reaction rate effect. Now I am concentrating on millimeter wave tuning to promote a gene expression or enzyme reaction. I seek collaboration with a biologist to perform experiments in-vitro and later in-vivo. I plan to visit Counter Culture Lab this Tuesday evening and will elaborate on my resources and strategy. Attached is the microwave enzyme stimulator under construction in my lab. I have additional projects that are developed but beg for collaboration: Resolution of wave-particle duality (this worked, see link), ultimate connectors, slanted spine bookbinding, and musical instrument inventions. help needed tonight for bookfair prep!

by Jenny Ryan

We need to demo the wooden bookcase in the far corner of sudo bordering ccl and move two of the cabinets in there. They've already been cleared off and sorted. There's a lot of junk to move to trash or my car for an ewaste run tmrw. Right now just me n robb hustlin. If anyone's got a cycle in them to demo, move the cabinets and/or clean, would be hella rad!

Re: [sudo-discuss] [Noisebridge-discuss] T-962A Reflow Oven Firmware Upgrade!

by Morgan Allen

Do you have any reference links for the upgrades? We have the same over at Sudo and I've noticed it's pretty inconsistent. Wondering if we should pursue upgrading as well. Anarchist Bookfair and BASTARD Conference this weekend

by Laura Turiano

Hi everyone, A final update/reminder for this weekend's activities. The Bookfair and Bastard conference will be using the entrance hall and ballroom this weekend and those spaces need to be completely clear to fit the bookfair tables. I'll be working on moving stuff today and tomorrow if anyone has some time to help out. Message or email me to find out when I will be at the Omni. The set up crew from the Bookfair will be here Friday night. These events are a great opportunity for collectives to share info with activists. Omni doesn't have an official table, but Julian has volunteered to coordinate one that will be located somewhere else in the building. Thanks Julian! He sent an email about this a day or so ago. Please be in touch with him to take a tabling shift or give him materials from your collective that you would like to have at the table. I would love to see some kind of activities going on in Sudo and CCL to showcase what you all are doing. Collectives and related groups that DO have Bookfair tables are Phat Beets, TIL, GWS, Stinney Distro. FNB will be serving. If you are interested inn helping any of them with their tables, please contact them directly. If you would like to help out with Omni tasks during the Bookfair, let me know. If you want to help during BASTARD Conference, Katrina is the point person. - Laura

Me thinks they'd be best between sudo/ccl. Re-Joined list; Anyway yes, I checked out these cabinets and overall they look pretty solid. Hardware Hack Night guest

by Morgan Allen

I found myself chatting with Joseph Coffland of Buildbotics ( https://buildbotics.com/) and he's interested in checking out the space next week. Sounds like a possible demo of their fantastic looking CNC controller? Should be a good time, I'll plan on being there. Cheers, Morgan

Status of SR website?

by aaronco36

Hey all, Tried reaching main website https://sudoroom.org several times this afternoon and evening. It doesn't seem to be responding. Also tried..... - using 'sudo ping www.sudoroom.org', it times out and doesn't complete - ditto " for 'sudo ping 104.236.181.202' " - 'sudo traceroute www.sudoroom.org' reaches last router digitalocean-ic-302451-sjo-b21.c.telia.net (62.115.34.18) in 24.010 ms 23.958 ms 24.266 ms and then doesn't complete its roundtrip The fact that you all may be receiving this email _separately_ rather than from the sudo-discuss list also indicates something is wrong. Any idea of what's going on and/or what needs to be done? Best, -Aaron aaronco36(a)sdf.org SDF Public Access UNIX System - http://sdf.org
