Please, let's be very clear here. The delay is caused by AT&T. The
same delay would have happened for U-Verse or LMI internet. Sounds
like Sonic will be ready Tuesday and there's no way Comcast would be
ready before then if you order it on Monday.
This is a false binary between evil and slow. They are all evil, they
are all slow, and in this case Sonic will probably come soonest.

hey all, I meant to say:
The other day, a member of sudo let a non-member in and left alone them in
the basement for a while, wherein they minorly injured themselves in the
process of trying to be awesome shelving books.. even though we are still
formulating a plan for where and how to organize them.
Every guest needs to accompanied by a member,. preferably not let alone to
wander and potentially hurt themselves, even if tryimg to do a good thing.
The guest seemed good natured but also knew nothing really about omni, its
structure, any of the groups, processes, etc.
At the next sudo meeting Im thinking this should be brought up again?
Love,
David
Hi all,
I'd rather not get into the details of why at this hour, but John has
stopped providing us with free internet service.. Pursuant to a discussion
he came downstairs to have with me tonight when I randomly stopped by just
to check on the building at like 11:30pm.
The RJ45 plug at the end of the Cat5 cable leading upstairs to John's
internet router has been clipped - please do not attempt to reattach it.
I'm afraid we must wait on the Comcast Maryanna ordered to get service.
Maryanna, what is the eta there?
Comcast is evil, yes, but we can cancel anytime while we settle on our
provider of choice. (Sonic.net's 2-week delay in even getting a tech onsite
to provision DSL sort of makes that ISP like not the best choice and the
reason really we are in this pickle.)
Everyone, I realize this sucks obviously but I would respectfully ask that
we not give John a hard time about this. He is not obligated to give us
free internet.. It's really not his problem, and he is worried about the
security of his home network.
I heard Jeremy (sudo) talked to him earlier in the day about him sharing
his 'guest' wifi network. Knowing John, I will simply say my advice is
against pursuing this option.. let it go, and lets just get our own stuff
asap -
Best,
David

Hello,
I was there for the sudomesh meeting last night, and in my rush to get
ready and go I left my Lenovo laptop power supply. I'll come by tonight for
it. If anybody happens to see it, could you set it out in an obvious
location on a table or something?
Much appreciated.

Subject: [Noisebridge-discuss] Looking for collaborators with access to 3D
printers for Sci-fi film
I'm part of a crew making a sci-fi movie. It is a story of revenge where a
Gal goes after a punk-hacker gang who killed her mentor/father. When the
Gal tries to infiltrate the gang, she is forced to play a deadly initiation
game with Bulge. This game involves printing out a gun using 3D printers
using tech-mods (think tattoos with circuitry) to program the printers and
using the printed gun to shoot the other player.
I'm looking for people who have expertise in 3D printing to
collaborate/brainstorm on filming this sequence. Also looking to borrow a
couple of 3D printers for 3 filming days in September.
If anyone is interested in collaborating and has access to 3D printers,
please get in touch with smahesh69 at gmail dot com
