[open ticket] write BATMAN support module for nodewatcher from wlanslovenija

by Matthew Senate

Hey all, Ran in to Xavi recently (came by sudo a bit ago), started talking about the project, I think this would be perfect for him based on his new gig. On the other hand, it should get done anyhow so I made a ticket: https://dev.wlan-si.net/ticket/1157 // Matt

WNDW (Wireless Networking in the Developing World) in MarkDown

by Matthew Senate

Hey all, I got an .ODT source copy of the WNDW book, converted it to HTML with LibreOffice, then to MarkDown with Pandoc: https://github.com/wrought/wireless-networking-in-the-developing-world/ The HTML version is pretty nice. Here's the markdown version, which needs a bit of cleaning around the math: https://github.com/wrought/wireless-networking-in-the-developing-world/blob… I really wanted to send in some edits, figured this would help others as well. // Matt

Lessig's talk tomorrow at UC Berkeley

by Mitar

Hi! (Sorry for slightly off-topic posting.) Expanding on the debate that rages today about protecting all Americans' right to vote, Mr. Lessig will discuss the consequences of money's presence in politics and how those consequences may be remedied. Professor of Law and Director of the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University, Lawrence Lessig helped found the non-profit Creative Commons and has authored numerous books. We hope you will join us in this stimulating discussion as the country confronts a growing concern with the preservation of individual rights. https://www.facebook.com/events/407858436007848/ Mitar -- http://mitar.tnode.com/ https://twitter.com/mitar_m

Local site for Peoplesopen.net

by Matthew Senate

Hey all, To set up a local instance of the peoplesopen.net site (for design and development changes), follow the instructions here: https://sudoroom.org/wiki/Mesh/Website/Local Will need to slightly augment for Mac (Luis cc'd) and Windows--but MAMP and WAMPserver are well-documented. I'll be adding more documentation on the workflow for the sudo mesh and peoples open sites! // Matt
