Micro-internet networks 🚀

by Patrick Muhire

NodeOne earn and own hosting a micro-internet network NodeOne was built to enable people without technical skills to set up micro-internet networks to get access to alternative internet services at an affordable price without facing double chargers from internet service providers like Telecom's and ISP's Node's Deployed To date over 8 nodes deployed with 8 nodeMasters and 623 members using micro-internet networks to get affordable access to internet services. Default native apps running on NodeOne NodeOne default apps run 100% without an internet connection enabling members to have access to an affordable way to get access to internet services. 1: Reba is a media app which indexes the web for any video related content and saves the data locally. The videos are served in a local environment after downloaded from the web, meaning users in the same network can search and index the web without internet access, each video is downloaded and locally cached. This means that if the next user searched for the same video they will view the locally saved content, saving bandwidth. 2: Sema is an app which enables users on NodeOne network to effectively communicate without being connected to the internet, Unlike how other traditional apps, where one buys internet data to make a call, Sema enables NodeOne users to do video calls and communicate for free. 3: Baaza is a search engineer built to make NodeOne users search the web to get access to dynamic websites. Baaza runs without internet connection giving users the ability to get free local access to information from the web. Superheroes on the team Without our superheroes, NodeOne couldn't have made it this far join us in officially welcoming them on the team Andrew Berkowitz: CMO/President Andrew is the Cofounder and Managing Director of Zwile Media where he manages and runs the top portfolio of podcasts covering business, innovation, and technology on the African continent. Online Anonymity, Privacy, the Tor Browser and More *Tuesday, September 17 at 2:00 PM PT* As platform companies, phone companies, advertisers, governments and others surveil all aspects of our online activities and interactions, concerns frequently turn to how individuals and organizations can increase expectations of privacy and anonymity online. In this interactive learning session, we'll explore different meanings of "privacy" and "anonymity", and discuss several tools to limit who can track you online, including virtual private networks and browser plug-ins. We'll specifically focus on the Tor Browser, which is designed to inhibit all attempts to know your identity or location when you visit web sites. Come with your questions and ready to learn about how you are watched as you live online and what you can do about it! Join us on Tuesday, Sept 17 at 2:00 PM PT. *Register here* <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Aspiration/0cf411bf96/5e1231dc0b/3816b622ff> Managing and Protecting Your Organization's Digital Identity *Tuesday, October 1 at 2:00 PM PT* A nonprofit's online identity has arguably become as central and essential to success as their offline identity. Domain names, social media handles, critical cloud accounts, representation and depiction in online spaces: all these elements contribute to how social change organizations are perceived by the vast majority of the world. But holistic and comprehensive management of organizational digital identity is an under-studied practice area. Rapidly evolving technology categories continually create new categories of institutional vulnerabilities for nonprofit organizations. And too few organizations apply security and sustainability best practices when managing their online identity - from ownership of domains and hosting of web sites, to safeguarding remotely stored data, to managing virtual relationships. This workshop will share and explain in managing organizational online identity, and demonstrate processes, tools and rules of thumb for effectively safeguarding and protecting the virtual side of your nonprofit organization. Join us on Tuesday, Oct 1 at 2:00 PM PT. *Register Here* <http://cts.vresp.com/c/?Aspiration/0cf411bf96/5e1231dc0b/f062118883> If you would like to request a virtual learning call on topics that could better support your organizing and movement work, please let us know by replying here or emailing us at learning(a)aspirationtech.org. We hope to see you in our online sessions and at the Dev Summit this fall! With love & solidarity, Evelyn and the Aspiration team Our Mission Contact Us Aspiration's mission is to connect nonprofit organizations with software solutions that help them better carry out their work. We want nonprofit organizations to be able to find and use the best software available, so that they maximize their effectiveness and impact and, in turn, change the world.
