sudoroom Cube -> 3D Model (anyone interested in making a SudoRoom tesseract?)

by Romy Ilano

We were talking about different projects last Thursday night. It got us into discussing tesseracts, which are 3 dimensional representations of 4 dimensional space. Just digging this up from our folders - because I'm not sure everyone has seen this. but did you know that someone made a *3D model of a SudoRoom cube?* - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:96468 Would this picture of a tesseract be an honorary SudoRoom cube as well? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesseract#/media/File:Schlegel_wireframe_8-ce… Then, since all the tesseract models depict a cube, would this 3D printed model be a SudoRoom Tesseract? http://www.instructables.com/id/3d-4-Dimensional-Tesseract-Hypercube-Model-… ============================= Romy Ilano romy(a)snowyla.com

I'm looking at teaching order of operations, etc. Would like to see if anyone would like to test things out - I'd like to avoid browsing through too many TED videos though, or having to wade through press articles about why _____ city is the new Silicon valley <3 Might as well make it decent! ============================= Romy Ilano romy(a)snowyla.com

Can someone, please, donate $ to buy Acoustic Caulk to repair the Ballroom south wall? (Picts)

by danarauz＠gmail.com

Hello All, Could someone, please, donate money to buy 10 large tubes of acoustic caulk? We need $80. You don't have to buy it yourself, but if you prefer, according to our more experienced Omni member sheet rock installer (Joe), the acoustic caulk that we should get is the one made by OSI. It costs about $8 each. WHAT FOR? To complete the the sheet rock installation at the Ballroom south wall. WHEN DO YOU NEED IT FOR? We need it by this Saturday, so we can continue working on it during our next work party. HAVE PHOTOS? Fwd: [sfchalkboard] Looking for Freedom Festival Volunteers~!!

by Vicky Knox

This festival sounds awesome and right up Sudo Room/Omni's collective alley. Perhaps folks would like to submit a request to table? I'd be down...except I'm in SoCal. Here's their basic deal: "H[olistic]U[nderground] focuses on a creative, collaborative and sustainable response to social injustice and failing human systems." "We believe that as long as any one of us is denied their freedom, be it through human trafficking, wrongful incarceration, for political dissent, by poverty, or due to their race, gender, faith, class or ability, then none of us are fully free!" ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Michael Young Séo <mys628(a)gmail.com> Date: Fri, Sep 4, 2015 at 12:42 PM Subject: [sfchalkboard] Looking for Freedom Festival Volunteers~!! Coordinating Omni events with Friday night Linux installs

by Romy Ilano

Hey - there was a Linux adventure night running in parallel last night with a film showing in the ballroom. It was cool & although we had a sparse turnout that dissolved people got to see the film Wondering since Friday is so social if we should coordinate the Linux install night with a film Night that either is run by someone else or can be played on the TV set in Our Sudoroom ? We could install Linux alongside an open source documentary and make it a potluck ? Sent from my iPhone

Re: [sudo-discuss] [sudo-taxes] $400 Filing Fee

by Jenny Ryan

Unfortunately, we have only $2,054.71 in our banq account at the moment, and we have to pay rent ($2000) and utilities (~$300) imminently. I'm cc'ing sudo-discuss to request additional donation this month in order to prepare for filing our 501(c)3 tax-exempt application. Please contribute if you can! https://sudoroom.org/donate Thank for all the good work you're doing, Kyle! What are you working on lately? I'm working on an education math game for children.

by Romy Ilano

What are you working on at SudoRoom lately? I'm working on an education math game for children. - When I told people this folks came out and gave me helpful hints and directions. I do not have much domain knowledge on the standardized tests teachers are made to give to kids in Califrnia, so I am grateful people stepped forward and helped out. - Someone cool met me at the SudoRoom and volunteered to make music for the game. - Cool people pointed out cool games that had been successful in the past. Best, Romy ============================= Romy Ilano romy(a)snowyla.com
