I need to power a device with an LCD screen running on a Raspberry Pi.
Both need 5 V. The Pi needs about 3 Amps. The screen needs between 0.5 and
1 A, depending on brightness. So I figure I can power both off of a shared
5 V power supply as long as it provides at least 4 A. But I can't find a 5V
4A power supply. So I'm wondering... could I just wire two 5V 2.5A power
supplies in parallel? Would this work? I feels wrong but I can't think of
why.

I was talking to Jake and Elaine at a recent meeting, and Jake mentioned
that we've got some kind of laser soldering gun or something.
Coincidentally, I've just started using the soldering stations, and
honestly I'm noticing how much I don't know.
So I was thinking of putting together an afternoon where we could all bust
out some of this exotic stuff AND I might also just pick people's brains
about how to use solderpaste well. We can definitely do it again if there's
interest, but I primarily see this as a discrete event. If I were to
organize this, how many people could I rope into answering my questions?
Would people be more available on a weeknight or weekend afternoon?

Hello, Jake sent me to this group, and suggested I'd ask on here
for help to install a rom on my android phone. I'm trying to install a lineage rom, and
I don't know how to do it. If anyone is available to help, please let me know.
Thank you so much

Hi everyone!
Sudo room's weekly meeting is tonight at 8 - 9 pm in person and remote at
meet.waag.org/turtlesturtlesturtles.
I'm feeling a little ill, so I don't know whether I can be there in person,
but a new member said they're coming, so if you're going to be there let
everyone know!
See you tonight (probably)!

Thank you to everyone who helped and showed last night at the fundraiser!
After paying performers out we made over $500!
Shout out to everyone who helped and supported!
Especially Counter Culture Labs, Sudoroom, Myriad Outreach Program, Food
Not Bombs, Media Lab w/CC sewing table, all the amazing artists & of course
the incredible volunteers who made it happen!
This event was short notice with organizing. Imagine how grand a more
planned out fundraiser event can be! Let's continue to count our blessings
and continue to organize together!
With much love & gratitude,
Omni Commons
Just curious I hung out with some circus folks in Mexico on vacation and I miss learning juggling and acrobatics. Any of those folks at the Omni!

Heya,
CCL has kicked off an environmental working group on account of local
concerns and, well...the apocalypse, in general.
One of our focuses is on water quality and thus we are wondering if anyone
lurking on this gigantic list has connections with anyone at EBMUD? We got
questions about the water supply and are looking for answers beyond the
public-facing powerpoint slide deck.
thnks
